Felt pretty good, mis-timed the start on my 3rd round thrusters - should have been 7 reps.

Hey Anthony (and Jodi!)

I'm going to have to start following your journal a bit. I've talked to you online over the years, and you pretty much are the person that convinced me to do CF. I'm over at CFWilmington now with Andrew (who I relentlessly kick the crap out of).

I've got a question for you when you get a second ... I remember awhile ago you modified the WOD deal and added more strength stuff in, but I can't remember exactly how you went about doing it. Seeing that you're one of the strongest people in this "community", I was wondering if you could give any specifics, and whether you would recommend it for someone a little more interested in strength than most CF'ers..

Justin, good deal on dishing Chubs some asswhoopings! I've toyed around with a few different ideas for adding extra strength work and by far the best I've tried so far is 1-2 strength movements on the first day of the 3 day cycle. Something like:

day 1: squat + wod @ 50%
day 2: wod
day 3: wod
day 4: rest
day 5: deadlift + wod @ 50%
day 6: wod
day 7: wod
day 8: rest
repeat

Not exactly rocket science, but it worked well for me (and jodi).

You do anything special as far as reps/sets go? If I remember right you started by doing a 5x5 then switched to 5x3(reps) when you hit a wall? Did you still incorporate the CFWU?
