Great work on PR mate, this stuff seems to work now and again lol.

Haha i know, its so easy to just catch the weight with elbows pointing down (and hold it like you kinda do when doing thrusters). But il be doing Clean and jerks on monday so il work on it then, im gonna warm up with power shrugs to to get used to using my traps more.

Did you do power cleans or squat cleans?

Ricky

Power cleans, i didn't even think about squat cleans. I was focusing on the dip and drive and the catch that I didn't even think about squats.

No, don't get me wrong, I'm on a ''high'' right now from the cleans and this whole week. It has been tough in a good way1

I'm loving the WOD challenge I can't wait for the next one.

Nik, good to see you on my log mate and congrats on the C&J. I see its up to you for the next challenge & im looking forward to seeing what you come up with and keep in mind the old boy with the bad back!!(me) when you pick the next one. Jokes aside im giving it 3 more days and my back will be good to go.

It helps having other people competing with you as I always know if I do not give the WOD 100% Richard will kick my butt! whenever I rest i picture him just keeping going and it usually speeds me up. Have a good weekend and look forward to the challenge.

Re: Nik

Heres another one for the future some time.

40KG
Power snatch x1
OHS x4
Walk 20m
Power snatch x1
OHS x4
walk 20m (back to start)
box jumps x10
wallball x10

Repeat 3 times

Sounds more than it actually is. This will be a leg and shoulder killer for sure.
OR stayin with that theme (im enjoying snatches right now lol).

50KG (110lbs)
snatch grip deadlift x10
power snatch x4
OHS x8
5 burpees

4 rounds, hands must never leave the bar except when doing burpees (thats the only reason i put them in there - or we could take burpees out and just make it all about snatch etc)?!

Same weight as the cleans, I reserched the WOD CHIEF and you are supose to do air squats, not weighted, so I did it heavy. I could have done 2 or 3 times as many sets if I would have done it with air squats, but i got a heck of a workout!!

Oh and I'll look into a WOD challenge.

Nice job! If my back heals tomorrow, I'll see if I can beat my last Michael time (which is not anywhere close to yours, lol). Kudos on keeping the whole first set unbroken - that's hard after pumping 800m!!

3sets 15 situps with 25lbs
3sets 15 squats with 30lbs weight vest
3sets 15 back extensions with 25lbs
3sets 10 pullups with 30lbs weight vest. Just to keep the blood running.
