No Effort Kip??

Today I completed 7 kipping pull ups - my personal record so far:pepper:

I have noticed that when in full momentum the pull up seems like it takes no effort whatsoever...
this is what it's meant to be like isn't it???

Re: No Effort Kip??

Pretty much. Your kip will allow an easy and very fast pull for a short period of time. Eventually, your pulling muscles will become too tired to complete the pull-up during the kip assistance and you will either have to kip again or try to pull with your already tired muscles. Either way, you've basically hit failure.

So yes, kipping pull-ups will feel nice and powerful probably until near failure.

Edit: Oh, and congrats on the PR!

Great job on the record! And to answer your question, yes! That's what makes kipping pull ups so much fun!
