I have increased the intensity of my training and have developed tennis elbow in the right arm and bursitis in both arms. The bursitis is a flair up of a pre boxing injury from the days I was using a flat key board for too many hours a day. My doctor suggested I try a fore arm compression band for the tennis elbow and using tape on th e wrists for the bursitis. He also suggested doing small light grips several times a day. These seem to have helped stop further injuries, but I am not healing up. I have started to use hand wraps, and have even placed foam in my gloves. I use a light weight glove (12 oz.) recommended to me because I assume I am a woman) and a friend told me that heavier gloves can exacerbate the impact to the arms because of the momentum you can develop. I have broken three bones now in my hands. One a boxers break from poor technique which I have fixed, one in the wrist, and the latest was unrelated to hitting (I was hanging on well in a front headlock while my partner was plucking).

If there is a particular glove I should be using, please let me know. You folks that have done this for a long time must know what I am missing.

Kevin: Great Stuff, I should have known that the board already had info on this topic. After I heal up, how do I keep from re-injuring?
