I found some really great stirfry recipes that, except for rice and noodles, are totally paleo friendly. Any ideas what I could subsitute for them? All I can think of is steamed squash.

Spaghetti squash is an obvious choice. You might try finely shredded, steamed cabbage or carrots.

it (and all the fall squash) just came into season around here. it's great. light and a little crunchy compared to regular pasta. if you can get a hold of one they are definitely worth try. bake in a pan 350 degrees F, in about an inch of water for 40 minutes. the "noodles" come right out with a fork.

along the same lines as marc suggested, i put stirfry/roasted veggies/stew etc over a bed of steamed greens (collards, kale, mustard or whatever else is fresh and floats your boat).

Thinly sliced cabage that is steamed doubles for noodles pretty effectively.

Man, fruit in a stir-fry is where it's at. Pears and apples work amazing with a hot and spicy fry, the sweetness accents the heat so well.

If anyone is still reading this, I found a wicked replacement for... pretty much anything.

Thinly slice an eggplant; salt; fry in extra-virgin olive oil.

This tastes incredible. And it's so easy!
