So, with the help of my stepdad I finally got my home depot pullup bar into place, which allowed me to put up my Elite Rings from www.ringtraining.com.

The rings rock and I can't wait to try some dips on them... Unfortunately, I suffered a bizarre, unexpected f#@$!&ing shoulder spasm/cramp/whatever Sunday evening.

However, my just-turned 3 year old has gotten some use out of them -- both in and out of his giant inflatable bouncy castle. :-) He's getting to enjoy them more than I am at the moment.

I love the rings though -- can't wait to start using them for ring pull ups, pushups, etc. I may have to put in another pull up bar in my garage (higher ceiling) so I can try muscle-ups... What is the recommended ceiling height, anyway?

I plan on mounting my rings aprox 10 feet high in my garage (unfinishied ceiling). As long as I have enough room for the dip portion without hitting my head on the beam above, I'll be good to go. How long ago did you order your rings? My order is on backorder and it is taking forever. THanks, Fitzy.

My order took a total of about 2 months to fill. I just finally got the rings about a month or so ago, and installed them over this last weekend.

My ceiling is only 9 feet or so, and my pullup bar hangs down about 20" from the ceiling (perfect for me). I probably won't be able to try muscle ups until I add another bar (and maybe even a 2nd set of rings...) to my garage.

Just got my order yesterday eve, installed today and they are bad arse. I ran inside to tell my wifee how cool they were after I got them mounted and she said great. Like, oh boy, thats really great. Some people just don't get the important stuff. I'll be in the garage doing MU's!!! Later.

That's a great setup you have there inside of the bouncy castle. I hope your arm heals up quickly. We don't want the kids having all the fun!

I just ordered a set yesterday!

Cant wait to get them!

Hope that arm comes along nicely.

Cheers

Do they come with straps?

Or is it just the rings?

Chris Cline 10-28-2006 04:56 AM

Ignacio- They come with adjustable straps with buckles. They are the red ones shown in the pics. I have a pair and they are great!

Ignacio Rios 10-28-2006 05:18 AM

For 65.00 - I think I'll order me a pair.

Been doing Xfit for 3 days now and I havent found a place on base where there are rings...plenty of places to hang em though.

Tyler Hass 10-28-2006 10:07 PM

Ignacio,
Right now, the wait is about 10-14 days for new orders. And after about 2 weeks they will be in stock for immediate purchase.
