Anybody having any luck watching the live stream?

Not working here, I'm not getting anything. I click play, I get a circular "loading" graphic, and then nothing...

yeck. It was looking great thru the mens event, then toward the end of their even it started getting jumpy, now its unwatchable at both the sattelite of the individuals and the jumbotron of the team event.

I can't see crap on my screen, it is too choppy and slow. I'm just hoping they archive the footage in a way that I can download it like they do with all other videos and then I will just watch the events a few hours after they happen...

Commentator booth is at the HDC. They probably couldn't get a booth set up at the beach for one reason or another.

Live feed went away for a couple of minutes and came back a bit better for me. :-)

Last year's was great. I hope they didn't change something that didn't need fixing. It's unwatchable.

Masters and Jumbotron are somewhat working but Satellite was working maybe for 1 hour only. I guess i will download archives later.

I have a great internet connection, and I've tried all the feeds, etc and they are all choppy and unwatchable.

The archives work Ok, it seems like if I click on an archive, pause it for a few minutes and then push play I can watch. I was able to watch the archive of last night's live show and Heat 1 of the L sits. WOD 1 is not on archive yet, I hope they get it up there soon...

I'll second what somebody else said, thanks for a gazillion dollars Reebok. All you have done so far is put money in the pockets of people at HQ, make every piece of Crossfit Apparel too expensive for any normal human being, and now we can't even watch the event that you have been hyping out the *** for months...

The Satellite doesn't load for me.

The jumbotron works really well, but there is no commentary! What good is that?

Last year they had live streaming HD coverage with commentary for the WHOLE THING. What's the deal with this stuff this year?

I want an announcer telling us who we are looking at, what the back story is, who's got the best time, etc.

They must have cut a deal with ESPN 3 to restrict other coverage.

Well that is really aggravating! The competition is going on all weekend. I planned a get together with friends to watch some of the competition, but I didn't know that only very specific 3 hour periods would have coverage that was worth anything. Grr!

that really sucks, last year they did such an amazing job of covering games online. I guess that's what happens when corporations take control. Really how many people are watching ESPN3?

The ESPN3 coverage is decently good and pretty comprehensive, especially for the Men's Individual Competitions. Someone posted a way to access it in the Live Stream thread in case you don't have one of the good ISPs. You can watch the replays at any time (so, basically ESPN3 has its own archive).

I actually watched the ESPN3 stream last night - it was actually really good.

Boy was it pain full watching the men that had trouble with the last lift - goot on them for pushing through!

I agree on all the above. I'm not one to complain normally but I think we deserve some answers on whats going on. The ESPN coverage was reminiscent of last year in that there was commentary, timing, explanation, etc. It was exciting to watch. That being said, I basically wasted my day sitting around watching crappy feeds and "live" video with background announcing when I could've caught up in 3 hrs. Is this what happens when you sign a deal with ESPN? As an "investor" in CrossFit I would expect bigger and better which is usually the case. I'm just fairly disappointed thus far with the way the real time has been handled and lack of explanation as to why. Hopefully today will bring new things. Good luck to all the competitors!
