I see you're on the process of mastering the pull-up. Are you emphasizing the negative part of the pull-up as well ? :) Like from the top of your jumping pull-up, going down very slowly, it'll help a lot to get those pull-ups !

:highfive:

Richard,

What happened to the smiling face avatar? That's okay, this one looks TOUGH ! :evilsmile Between you, Erin and AllisonNYC, the constant switch in avatars keeps it interesting. I'll try to keep up...maybe keep Coach Ripp there for a while, though.

Yesterday was just a good day for me (Nicole from the CFjournal's lecture on food helped). Track and Field in high school was eons (almost 3 decades)ago. My bad days can go to as slow as 10 min/mile pace.

I incorprated the negatives on my practice pull ups today; what a coincidence. Have you seen Kelly Moore's log......her KIP numbers are phenomenal! :super:

Later.

Grace,

Crazy job on Tommy V. Seriously. I couldn't do that today...but I LOVE the creativity you mustered up! I just wish I could have been there to see it! :)

I also LOVED Nicole's vid. She's amazing.

But really...so are you! GREAT work here as of late.

Your photo is definitely here to stay (look a those guns ! haha). I changed mine again, as usual.

10 min/mile is still good Grace ! I had another escape from the 5k today, I feel bad.

No escape from Tommy V tomorrow tho ! :super:

Kelly Moore is a perfect model to follow, I can't believe her performances, incredible ! I can't wait to hold a kb because of her, there aren't any over here :(

How are the slow negatives working ?

Erin, A couple of guys doing bicep curls with dumbells and EZ bar were definitely checking out the rope-thinga-majigi workout. :D Sweat was pouring like crazy!

Checked out your work lately....you're training pretty hard there, too.
Which one is your stronger suite...back hand or forehand? I think tennis is very hard.

Later. :)

You'll do 5K one of these days! Go headstrong with Tommy V! :weight_l:

Kelly Moore is one to watch and follow for sure. :super:

The slower negatives are harder after a few reps.....but I'll keep trying. Thanks for the advise.

WOD 080313 MICHAEL

800 meter run
50 Back Extensions
50 Sit Ups

Neighborhood Park has 400m loop and playground equipment suited for the anchored situps and makeshift back extensions. Used one of my portable square punching bags for lower back support. I like these kind of WODs, especially when one is pressed for time. Plus, the parks are hardly used.

Abberviated Warm Up x2
shoulder flexibility x10, air squats x10 and jumping pull ups x10

As Rx'd :pepper:
Love running!

19:50

Rested for 5 minutes and....
Pull Up Negatives x15.... only 1 round. Done!

Looking forward to weekend at the beach since son is on spring break. Will be doing no equipment WODs - courtesy of Eva T.

i'd love to to be able to do this WOD outside in the park under the sun... unfortunately we have snow banks that are higher than me and freezing cold weather.:ranting2: cant wait for summer!

Thanks Tim. You should come up with a Winter WOD - 200m run like hell on deep snow, double tabata - shoveling and snow angel.....

Stay warm!

YEAH. LOVED that vid. Especially when her form was better than his.

To answer your question, Grace. My forehand's crazy strong and accurate. My backhand's definitely gotten better by it's a far less intuitive movement for me. Fun times. I can't wait till it gets warm enough for singles outside. Should be just around the corner...You ever play?

Since, you know...seems you're pretty inactive to me and you could use the exercise.

I'm waiting until July for my time at the beach, it's coming soon.
