Yesterday for Michael I subbed the Reverse hyper for the 1st round of Back Ext. and 25 reps of the second round. When I do too many BE I get a headache toward the end of the WOD and it gets worse after. The Reverse Hypers were way too easy. I am lucky enough to go to a gym where there is a reverse hyper that you can add weight to. Is there a CrossFit standard on how much weight I should add to make it an effective sub.

Just do Straight Leg Dead Lifts -- with a weight of your choice.

To avoid the headaches learn to breath through the movement. Also every day in your warm up do a 1 min Handstand. This will thicken the vessels in your head and make you less prone to be affected by blood pressure spikes.

Matt,
thanks for the post. I will try the 1 min. handstand. hard to belive my head can get any thicker, haha.
