My sister, Deirdre, is struggling with health issues and I would appreciate anyone who wanted to dedicate a workout to her. It is so hard to watch someone you love so much suffer. It is going to be a tough holiday season for her and her husband.

I like this idea on several levels, but would like to make a suggestion. How about the requests go on this thread, then everyone who does it PM's the person to let them know? If we are going to commit to this long term--as seems to be the intent in placing this thread in a permanent place of honor--then it will get very long, and finding the names will take a while.

This is really quite similar to the prayer requests made every week at my church. Again, I like it on several levels, and I think it's a useful thing to do regardless of one's metaphysical beliefs.

I'll write Deirdre on my hand today.
