Ankle Injury

My day started off well when I was flying through the Saturday WOD(Saturday 100821). All was going good and I was beating my counterpart when on the last set of box jumps(two left of ten) i jumped and landed awkwardly on my left ankle. I have sprained my ankle before playing football in high school but never this bad. Instead of pain coming from one side it is shooting from both sides and the pressure I place on it is limited. I'm writing to see what I should do about it and asking anyone for their advice to speed up recovery if possible.

Re: Ankle Injury

Are you sure it's not broken? I fractured my ankle when I was younger running in the backyard and stepping on the edge of a whole. It basically cracked and settled right back together so you could barely see the fracture, even in an xray. YOu should probably get it looked at if you can't walk on it or if the pain is that bad.

Re: Ankle Injury

If you can barely walk on it even after RICE for a couple of days I would get it checked out by an ortho first.

If it's not broken come back and we'll talk about it.

Go to the doctor and get it checked out as soon as possible.
