Re: Nik
Got up to 225 x 5 on deads and stopped there, it felt good, i probably could have done more, but I didn't chance it. Real happy with 225 for now.
Up tp 7 muscle ups today, played on the rings a bit, I ended up in hand stand position at the bottom on the hand stand, as soon as I started to push to the hand stand I lost ballance. |
Re: Nik
Nice job on the MU's!
Smart of you to go slow with the DLs. I would be tempted to do more too but not worth the risk right? |

Doing your progressions helped and all the ring stuff too. I keep telling myself I was smart to stop, but it was a bitter pill. Better to be slow at first I guess!! |
Re: Nik
Stupid double post.

Re: Nik
Nice DL and way to swallow the bitter pill. ;)

Yep, just getting a feel for it. I will scale down though, 135lbs 45 reps even on a good day for me is still a bit past my strenth and skill. I could get a few probably, but once I got tired I know I couldnt hold my form together. Not at that weight....yet. |
Re: Nik
10:00 break

It was tough, I will love to go heavier next time. It felt slow and dragging, but it went by faster then I expected. Good workout, it makes me glad today is a rest day.
:yeahthat: nice job. That was a tough one.
Thanks, It was, but I liked it in the end. I was afraid of it befor hand. |

I will do it in a globo so I'll have to do a lighter squat clean since I bet they won't like it much if I drop the weight EVER. Nice job on this. How were the 45 ring dips? |

Ok, not that bad really, but I did them in fives, 5, count 3,2,1, five more. I can do ring dips, but only a few at a time. |
Re: Nik
I'd think with those sick-*** 1-arm side ring planks that you'd have tons of ring dips. The entire notion of 1-arm side ring planks is crazy to me. In fact, I wonder that by considering trying them, I'm falling guilty to a sneaky gag you and Scott are pulling on the message board crew.

Great Fran Nik, you will be sub 5 very soon and 15 minutes of Death by C2B is a great score in itself, I only managed about 13 full rounds when I tried that, you should definately hit a qualifier

Thanks Scott!! I didn't expect much from Fran, last time I did it in 7min. but I was just getting over being sick. I thought about the qualifier, but I want to give it another year and maybe level 1 cert first. |

The way I see it Nik is I may or may not be ready but will be more ready next time around with the experience of hitting the qualifier this time. Theres absolutely nothing to lose, at the very worst I will come away with some great workouts and some new Crossfit friends and contacts to visit. |
