from my experience, depending on your grip strength and use of proper form, you should naturally be stronger on deadlift because of where the weight is, if that makes any sense. it does in my head.

DL might be 50% stronger, but it is only 100lbs. Not really a huge difference. If it were 500lb DL and 250lb Squat, then there would be something to worry about.
