15.1 Froning vs. Fraser
We must be looking at a high rep and weight ladder. These two strong horses that can move the weight and move it for a long time... This is going to be a real test..
This matchup is going to be awesome. CFHQ sure did this one right. |
Re: 2015 CrossFit Open, Regionals, and Games Thread
Most are predicting Fraser to be the new Froning, so this should be an awesome "match". This could easily be a repeat of 13.1 with the ascending snatches. If HQ wants to showcase these two, you would have to imagine we'll see some kind of heavy weight Oly lift.

Re: 2015 CrossFit Open, Regionals, and Games Thread
If you look at Rich F's profile it doesn't say his Box on it. If you look at Mayhem he doesn't show up on the roster. Going team.. wonder who its going to be with.. I am sure he has a plan. Going team will be fun to see if his team wins.. gotta have 5 other horses also.

Re: 2015 CrossFit Open, Regionals, and Games Thread
I am very, very selfishly bummed that the Regional in Toronto is no more. That's pretty harsh news for this one to bear.
I guess I won't be submitting my vacation request. :( |

I can't find anything in the rulebook about a prize for the scaled division. |

And 15.5 will be a match between three women Games champions: Leblanc-Bazinet, Briggs, and Thorisdottir. It's going to be a fun Open for spectators! |

Re: 2015 CrossFit Open, Regionals, and Games Thread
The 2014 Games documentary is outstanding.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=akcc6DphLIg (not WFS, some language) Camille talks about a moment of mental weakness at the beginning, when her rower was not working. When I saw that in the 2011 Games I thought she didn't have the mental toughness to ever be the champ. Later she makes a comment about maturing her mental game. Then watch her struggle with the sled (around 53:15). She definitely deserves to be the top athlete. In my opinion she has changed since 2011 and is a much stronger competitor. Also interesting in relation to this thread (speculating about Rich and PEDs, wfs), Pat Sherwood and Rich have a brief conversation about PEDs around 12:50. The whole video is definitely worth a watch. |
