Great job with the DUs and Annie Nik. Your DUs seem to be improving nicely. I have a feeling those rafter pullups are alot harder than they look.

Re: Nik
Strong front squats Nik, I reckon you would of got the 220lb if you went for it on the second round, after all you got 215lb across the board, strong work. Did you feel like the bar was pulling you forwards towards the end, I nearly did not get up on my last rep.

Exactly. It was pulling me elbows down and forward, it was a fight for form. I am happy, I went at it thinking 225, but it wasn't happening. To make excuses, I didn't sleep well, and I have alot on my mind today, really destracted. But if I can get 215 destracted, I'm in a good place. My short legs pay off sometimes! |

So I had the face as well. I did the FS's at break, I'm thinking of hitting the challenge now. I will have to roll out of the inverted burpees, I can kip up maybe once, the rest i land on my feet, but to far back and fall back. The HSPU's will be tough today. We will see what kind of sweat I can generate. Oh and the purpee pullups will be on rings to beable to get the rightr height. My bar is to low for it. |
Re: Nik
Ok tommi, you are an evil man, that challenge was no joke. I got 10rounds burpee pullups and 1 inverted burpee HSPU.
The burpee pullups were fun, I did them on rings to get the height needed all deadhang. The inverted BHSPU's qwere death. by round 7 I could hardly roll out of the burpee. The HSPU I ended up on my head and kicked out of the rep, didn't count. I hate wasting effort, so from there on out I would end up on my head and refocus take a deep breath and push back out. I actually got good at doing that and took shorter breaks on my head. Oh my quads got crampy in there somewhere, I guess from the inverted. Killer workout!! Challenge, 6 burpee pullups 6in above reach to ring deadhang pullups 3 inverted burpee HSPU's |

I get stuck and regroup catch a breath and hold it and push out of it, I don't want to waste the effort getting down, that get's me mad. WHAT the heck are burpee pullups? you do burpee and then pullup instead of jump? Inverted burpee handstand pushup. start on your back, tuck your legs to your chest roll up onto your shoulders, THROW yourself forward rolling onto your feet , kickup to a handstand and do a pushup. That is 1 rep:rofl: Sounds fun HUH? ! |

Re: Nik
Good job on the challenge Nik! 10+ rounds sounds like a good score to me. I might give it a try tonight or tomorrow. What's the highest score on this challenge so far? Does ur head hurt from stayin on your head so long?

Thanks, no I have a thick skull, Tommi got 12 + rounds I think, I think there has been highter, but I'm not sure. Goo luck with it, the inverted ones were the hard part. |
Re: Nik
Yes, good job on the challenge Nik. Not an everyday workout, but at least the burpee-pull ups are quite effective whenever you´re limited with equipment, time or programming.

Just throw some exercises in a hat and pick a couple out, whatever combination comes out its all good Nik or just pick some of your favourites and smash them together. Nice work on the challenge also. |
