Re: Nik

For time:
30 Handstand push-ups
40 Pull-ups C2B
50 Kettlebell swings, 1.5 poods
60 Sit-ups
70 Burpees

time 24:24

HSPU's took 9min

I got to do them ''right'' today. I have a new wall where I can extend my legs straight up. Befor I had to bend my knees and put my feel flat on the wall on account of a beam in the way about 5foot up.

HSPU's on 2 35lbs bumper with abmatt in the center. I got 5 in a row then 3's then 2's then 1's here and there. I missed the 29th reps then got it, then ended on my head on 30 and told myself''You are not going to waist this rep, pulled my legs down and kipped my first HSPU ever.

30reps pullups on big bar, then got the last 10.

I wussed out on the KB and only got 30 and broke, I wanted to do it unbroken. Grip and shoulders got me, i need a real KB.

situups unbroken on abmatt.

Burpeed done in 8min, I got 31 reps and broke.

You got me on the burpee's Nik, I should of known I may need an extra one and glad to see your wall is free for HSPU's, never tried kipping them before and its like you learned it because you needed to.

Breathless all the way through once I was done with the HSPU's. But I was happy with them even as slow as it was. I wussed out on the KB though, I wanted to get all of them but burned out on 30.

Burppes were ok, I kind of let my mind drift and just kept going, I was kind of brain dead wile doing them. My legs didn't get to tight. That is what killed it last time.

You'll do fine. iI bet you beat my time if you get through the HSPU's in a good time.

Yea, i saw the kip on the mainpage video once. I never tried it, but I was desperate to finish and i was at failier. So I tried it. i'll probably stick to regular ones, who knows if they will be allowed in comp. i don't want to develope a bad habbit.

I got you by one burpee, I hoped it would get someone.

Better than me...I wussed out at 20. Then hit 15 and 15. Really happy with everything else though.
Breathless is right!! I found the DB swing and the burpees to be the worst by far. I think I could have hit the last 20 burpees faster and just gone to complete exhaustion where you finish the last one and just flop, but I wasn't sure where the closest garbage can was. :rhabdo:

That WOD looks like it was calculated to make you hurl. Great job with it! I hate when burpees come at the end of a WOD like that, when you are already gassed and ready to finish.

wow.. great job on that wod yesterday, Nik.. that one looked horrible!!
When you do HSPU are you doing them with abmat under head or do you go all the way to the floor?I have to practice them more.. we don't have a good wall to do them so I don't practice enough. we never have them in WOD cuz most people can't do them...
Anyway... great job!!! :pepper:

Thanks alot.

I do the HSPU to the floor. Yesterday I had my hand on 35lbs bumpers hands covering the holes and an abmatt inbetween. It was the same as ground level from hand to head. I was using the set up for hand distance.

The rest of the time iI'm on the floor, hand at shoulder press width.

Front squat 3-3-3-3-3 reps

165 to 225lbs

235 only for 2 reps. It was heavy today.

Old PR 225 for 3 reps.

You will get that extra rep next time Nik, today will make you stronger for it. 225lb is still a great effort and the next best thing to a pr is leveling your last one.

10:00 break FOAM ROLLER

Rolled my back and quads, glutes and hams good, Middle of my back a little tender. Quads are SORE.

I'm feeling a bit off, stomach a little off. I think it is sinus drainage.
I'm feeling a bit tired.

Now thats what I call a well planned break, you can never get too much time on the foam roller.

Spray some YBF up your nose Nik, rest well and you will be good for tomorrow. :D

What is this YBF I keep hearing about? I can't figure the joke out and I can't find the root of it.

Its probably just allergies Nick. I'm sure it will go away in a day or so. Nice job on that chipper wod with the 70 burpees at the end. That one looks sick!

Don't worry about the YBF stuff, Jesse. You'll be fine until you figure it out. To everyone doing mainpage tomorrow- have fun! It'll be interesting to compare times to last Tuesday. Good luck!

Its much better for the burpees but then the HSPU's at the end are a killer, they took me nearly 2x as long this way around.

43 consecutive burpees to beat Nik.

NOOooo. you already did it?!?!?! I was thinkingt the HSPU's would be a killer at the end. 43 really?!?!:ranting2:you Scott!! I was thinking that going all out on them at the start would wreck the rest of the workout. but I was also thinking that is the price we pay.

Just go for it Nik, you get a nice rest after the burpees anyway with 60 sit ups, just do them steady and get your breathing back in control before the swings. You will be surprised how many burpees you can do starting them from fresh, I am definately going 50 next time around. :stir:

Will do Scott. I found the same thing doing the last burpees, i got kind of numb from it and just kept going, then I stopped at 31 and wish i hadn't. It felt better enduring the burpees then stopping and having to start again after it started hurting.
