I'm new to CrossFit. I was wondering about a couple things like what kind of equipment I would need. Also I'm a college athlete so I'm used to a lot of work and it feels like I don't get enough out of some of the workouts, should I run more or something afterward?

Are you STILL a college athlete or you WERE a college athlete? And where are you at right now/what are your goals? Makes a difference as to how much extra work you should be doing as a newbie, if any.

As for equipment, you could feasibly do WODs with just your bodyweight i.e. squats/pistols, push/situps, jumping, running, basic floor gymnastics. Next step is something to pull up on and something to jump on top of. Next after that is something heavy to lift, could be anywhere from a bag filled with heavy stuff to a whole bar-and-bumper-plates set. The equipment gets more sophisticated as you get more advanced.
