good effort on the WOD stephen...
keep working on those deadhangs... strength will come eventually... have you considered using bands for that little bit of assistance. I have found that the stimulus from bands as compared to a gravitron machine is much much better.. cheers... carter
Carter, Thanks again for the vote of confidence! Sure always appreciate your encouragement! I must be stubborn - - never have used the bands and tend to like doing static holds and negatives to increase my PU strength. Maybe it's time to dump the recalcitrant attitude and step into a band or two......Yeah - - I hate the Gravitron - - too much assist through parts of the ROM, or not enough, depending on the selected assist weight..... I'm really gonna start hitting the strength stuff hard, including the pull-up work. I know I can do it....just have to work a bit harder. Have a great day! |

I was reading Gus' post (at least, I think it was Gus) who was explaining how hard it was to get decent bumper plates and bars there in Australia. I'm rather surprised that sporting goods (bars, rowers, etc.) are hard to come by there - - you have such a sports-minded populous; at a minimum, top ranked soccer and rugby teams and lots of great athletes. I know here in California, it seems the pre-owned C2s are getting harder and harder to come by at a decent price. Most people are asking within $200 or less of brand new.....hardly worth it, since Concept 2 ships the rowers free from Vermont. Go figure. |

Good CJ numbers, just gotta keep hitting that pull, especially if your jerks were solid, that can be the weakness for some. And congrats on getting you C2, there amazing. iv got link to some great C2 drills if you want it. Put you through your paces?! Ricky |

Too bad about your achilles :crutch00:
Affiliation process is going well - - unbeknownst to me, someone else applied while I was gone and got approved. He's a great guy whom I know a bit from the globo - - he works out there too. If it all pans out, he, I and two others will probably throw in together. Looks like my business plan is right on point with what he's been able to find out too. CrossFit Sonora should be up and running before too long at any rate. WOOT WOOT! ......
But....:yeahthat::pepper::broc::kicking0: I'm sooooooo proud of you! |
