Deadlifts today: 3, 3, 3, 3, 3

175, 215, 235, 260, 285

Not bad. I haven't checked my previous.

I was really unhappy with my performance today, although I don't have much of a comparison. Did 1-1-1-1-1-1-1 Hanging Power Cleans.

85, 100, 115, 130, 140, 155-fail, 150-fail, 135-fail.

Maybe I got over tired. Up through 130 felt really good. The 140 was tough, but I got it. I was really surprised at how heavy the 155 felt in comparison. Maybe I got psyched out. I dunno. I'll just it as a learning experience.

On a better note, it's January! That means I'm starting back up on my triathlon training. I picked up Paleo for Athletes and started reading it. I took last season off for several reasons, but I now feel like I'm in excellent shape to start adding in many hours a week of cardio. I'll follow CrossFit Endurance when I can, but I need to get some base training back under my belt.

Gotta go bike shopping this weekend. I sold mine last fall.

5k run today. Didn't time it, just wanted to get out and run. Legs were a little tight. Breathing was good. Took me a while to get on pace. I was just glad to get out and run on a nice day.

My abs are really tired for some odd reason.

FINALLY! I made it back down to pre-Christmas weight. I weighed in at 191 this morning. I say this knowing fully well that I just jinxed myself, but I'm happy.

WOD is a booger today.

Congrats on the weight loss!

So, is "paleo for athletes" more carb friendly?

Dunno, not that far, yet. From what I've read, it does have you eat some more starchy foods (sweet potatoes) and time them well before workouts.

I'll fill you in as I read more.

Holy COW!

So, the WOD was indeed a booger.

19:28 78 rounds

I went from 35 to 25 to 20 to 15 to 12. That was an amazing workout. My lats are FRIED!!! Thanks, Nik, for pushing me through that.

Congrats! Sounds like Paleo is working for you? Are you still IFing?
