How will these events be paired ?
 
I signed up for a competition (with a partner) March 7th. The events are listed below. Any ideas on how they'll be matched up? Once again, its a 2 person event. Thanks guys

Deadlift (heavy load)
1/2 mile run with med ball 20#
Overhead squat (medium load)
Burpees over bar
Wallball shots 20#
Clean & Jerk (medium load)
Double understand

Well I would say Burpee over bar and clean and jerks more than likely. Possibly the OHS and run. The others I couldn't guess. Or the wall balls with the run since both have the med ball

That's helpful thanks. I was thinking maybe a deadlift hold while my partner did double unders?

Could be. I'm just judging by comps I have been in previously. I have done a workout with 50 Burpee over bar between you and your partner then a 2 rep max OHS in a certain time. Maybe 5 - 8 min. Both partners had to get a max.

There are a few different formats for partner wods in competitions.

One format is task completion. You can split up the reps between partners however you want.

Another format is conga line. One person does a certain amount of reps in one exercise, then goes onto the next exercise and does the reps there. The other partner follows and can't move on until the first partner has finished theirs.

Another format is wih static holds. One partner works, while another partner holds a position - for example pull ups, and hanging from a pull up bar.

There are different strategies for each one.

Two attempts - Max Deadlift

Event 2
800m run
50 OHS (95#)
30 burpees

Event 3
"Karen"
150 WB while other person holds DL - switch every 25 reps

Event 4
DU and C&J (135#) amount and reps to be announced
