14.4 Tips and strategies
 
I know its a little early but lets get it started! After tonight's announcement post what you think will be the best way to attack 14.4!

I was gonna say..WOW that is awesome...tips and strategies when we don't even know the movements yet.

1. Pace Yourself
2. Break up reps before you go to failure
3. wear short shorts :confused:

My plan is to get a tan in first, make sure my beard looks good, find a top that makes my arms look decent...
After that its all down to luck!

My strategy for 14.4 is:

1. Sweet potato hash browns for breakfast.
2. Wear cool socks.

After the announcement, I may develop a more specific strategy.

My approach so far has been:
  • Sit on couch and eat pizza (Hawaiian pizza; braised pork belly with fresh pineapple and basil) while watching the WOD broadcast.
  • If I can reasonably do the workout, then do it at some point within the week. Don't treat it differently than any other WOD.
  • If I can't reasonably do the workout, then blow it off and then lovingly mock my friends when they do it, acting as if I could have done it better. Give them all sorts of advice about what they should do or should have done, even though I can't do it myself.
  • Make excuses about how I would have totally killed that workout if only my knee, elbow, ankle, shoulder, or self-esteem wasn't injured.

Posts 4-7 are all you need to know to beat CrossFit. Anything after that is superfluous.

Also, honorable mention for the "short shorts" in post 3. Solid contribution.
