Best Gloves...

Alright I need some insight, what are the best gloves for grip ? (i.e. Rope climbs, pull ups, etc..)

Thanks!

I recently bought some Mechanix gloves(as suggested by others in the past) and so far I'm pretty happy with them. They are almost indentical to some gloves I've seen "designed" for CrossFit at 1/4 of the price.

They hold chalk well for pull-ups and are ok on rope climbs...I slip a little with any gloves I've used on ropes.

I bought the Rogue Mechanic Gloves and they are alright, I just didn't know if any others were out there. I saw Rogue had some new gloves from Harbinger but I don't know anyone who has tried them.

I bought some Mechanix High Abrasion at Amazon. They are not vented but fingers are fully covered in leather givving more grip, which is the main complaint regarding Mechanix. They work very well! I didn't try them in summer yet.

In my experience, a lot of the receiver gloves are really really fragile, especially UA. I couldn't imagine them holding up to bar knurling for more than a few sessions. Plus, they are like $40 a pop. You can get cheap mechanix off ebay for a quarter of the price.

At tip with chalk.
chalk up BEFORE putting gloves on. Youll keep your hands drier that way.

I use them for rope climbs and high rep pull-ups only. We have white nylon climbing ropes and the gloves stick to them like glue. Bar work doesn't tear up my hands much, even deadlifts. I did try deadlifting with gloves once, slipped right out of my hands.
