Hello people, my name is Jonathan and I wanted to introduce myself to the message boards on here ^_^. I started doing my own crossfit workouts after seeing the 'NASTY GIRLS' video. That just gave me a lot of inspiration to go into a more brutal work out.

A reason why I am working out, I also have MS (multiple sclerosis) for the last 5 years and counting. I have had balance problems, and would sometimes get tired from doing a minor job. I remember a few years back they say that exercising helps keep MS down low, so I got myself active. I started with the BOWFLEX (sorry, but it was a start) . I wasn't really into doing free weights until three days ago after visiting the crossfit website. I don't see much results (it's only been three days), but I will not stop what I am doing.

I love doing it, and love the benefits it is giving me.}}

Welcome, Jonathan! I only started a week ago, so in a similar boat. Great so far, I think feeling like you're actually making full use of the time working out is the best benefit so far. More to come. :-)

I'm about a month in and my numbers are going up significantly on everything.

The best part for me is the WOD. If left up to me, I tend to do exercises that are easy or comfortable for me, and will give up sooner than my body needs to. The WOD gives me a ton of variety in my routine as well as a mission to accomplish every time I hit the gym. I really push myself to reach that goal, whether it's lifting a few more pounds or shaving off a few seconds.

Welcome Johnathan. You will find a great range of exercises here to suit pretty much all of your requirements. Just take your time and keep posting questions. Good luck.

Ann, read your web site. Great stuff, as an IT geek myself…you rock.
