For daring to state such a mainstream and widely accepted nutritional science point of view, I was attacked by the vegans for being anti-plant while at the same time I was attacked by the meat-o-sauruses for being anti-meat. For a brief time I engaged in the brouhaha and gave as good as I got. But then I stepped back and got some perspective. Wish others could too. Scott, you better get a full grace plus. Some one will hit more then 30 reps, KEEP THAT IN MIND!!
Great work on WOD #2 Nik. I was going to ask how quickly you did Cindy but Scott beat me to it. We haven't done many air squats in quite a while so I'm hoping I having lost any speed on those. Cindy has never been a strength of mine so if I get 2 minutes on the GTOH I'm just going to have to go hard
Just pace it to not break it. If you break you will eat more time. SO go at a good pace and finish strong, the cleans, I screwed it up. I took to much rest on it. But if you go hard on it at forst your breathing will self regulate to a slower breathing pace and you will have more reps. |
Re: Nik
Oh yeah, somebody has already hit 35 clean & jerks so 45 points, thats the new target, as long as I can get through Cindy quick without totally killing myself it should be good.

Scott, I really see it not being bad. I mean, the condy part is not bad. there are parts that get tough. But I got the 10 rounds in 8:00 min. if you do the same, you can get the 30 plus reps. I just havent repped clean and jerk in a wile and wasnt ready for it. Multipal reps at first go. On Cindy, set a pace and keep it. Finishing on the squats gives you the chance to get your breathing right befor you go to the cleans. The C&J were not affected by cindy other then breathing. It really wasnt. |
Re: Nik

Re: Nik
Went back a few pages, didnt see many of your workouts, but I did see the references to Mr. Jenkins' thread that caused quite a stir!!!
I am like you guys, dont really enjoy the the rest of the board that much either! There seem to be a ton of experts on multiple topics out there...its just gotten to be too much! I do liek reading the logs though. And it seems like you are doing some of the WoDs from Scott's gym lately. Hows that going? Looks like you do well with the ones you have done, are you going to do them more frequently? I am glad to be back - my family looks like we are getting over the sicknesses, so I can resume regular training and regular following of the logs again! |

Nice work on the Cindy/C&J workout Nik. That one looks fun. I'm off to read all of Scott's issues now. It's tough getting caught up on these logs.

Not sure, I need the wall ball practice and I love the rpoe. I was going to do Scotts workout today for the ring dips and running but I think I will do the mainpage for the wallball and runs. Scotts workout is Deadlift 4-4-4-4-4-43 Rounds for time: •Run 600m •20 SDLHP (45kg/25kg) •20 Ring Dips Allthough I will do the deadlift I think I'll go with the mainpage for the metcon for the bigger wallball weakness. |
Re: Nik
10:00 break

Re: Nik
todays workout on CM2 is
Deadlift 4-4-4-4-4-4 3 Rounds for time: •Run 600m •20 SDLHP (45kg/25kg) •20 Ring Dips I was going to do the mainpage for the rope and wallball, but i did some wallball yesterday so I'm thinking of throwing in 2 reps of rope climb into this workout to get them in. Scott? I want tthe rope in, and I know atleast for now cm2 doesnt have one so I will add in. |

Deadlift 4-4-4-4-4-43 Rounds for time:
235lbs x4 255lbs x4 285lbs x4 305lbs(138k) x4 305lbs(138k) x4 315lbs(143k) x4 •Run 600m •20 SDLHP (45kg/25kg) •20 Ring Dips 2 15 foot rope assents scales and screwups I threw in the 2 rope climbs and on the first set of sumos I did 115lbs(52k) by mistake. I figured it out on the second run and came back and I was right, it was heavy( I was praying it was to heavy) time 21:25 all sumos unbrokenish first round I did'nt let go of the bar, but after 8to10 reps I was resting it on the ground for a breath but I never let go of the bar. second and third sets of sumo good and unbroken. dips ok, first set brok alot, second set was in 2 sets 13/7 I think it was broke there third set 10 and 3's till done. Rope fine. Harders pard was picking up the bar after the runs. I pulled a ''Fergus'' on the rope where i walked to the wall and tuched it befor going up again. |
Re: Nik
Great work Nik with the extra rope climbs. I done the sumo's touch n go quick reps but dropped the bar around 15 reps each round.

30 reps all GHDs no weight back ext no weight abmatt situps pushups squats Pullups a mess today C2B deadhang 10 underhand grip 10 singles overhand 5/5 left forearm at the elbow really sore for some reason, made pullups really hard. Other note. I got a migraine headache last nigh and still have it. I havent had on in over a year, but I di get them from time to time. I took my meds and it does'nt seem to be doing alot for it. I feel a bit dope from the meds , but ok. I hate taking anything. On a good note, I got through the warmup ok so the workout should be doable. |

Strict Overhead Press 5-5-5-5-5-5
I got up to 105lbs but my wrist (left ) was hurting fron mondays wall handstand walk. So I stopped ther and taped it up real tight for the push presses. I suck at reg press. You have two minutes to score reps at each of the following stations, rest 2 minutes after every third station: •Calorie Row SUBBED DUs for row. 65reps •Pushpress (45/25kg) 36reps •Overhead walking lunges (25/10kg) 26reps •Pullups 70rep( I wanted 100) •Burpee Box Jumps (30"/24") 11reps( I stoppedd long enough to look outside because I though i had a truck to unloat, 10seconds or so) •Toes-to-bar 30reps ON RINGS •Kettlebell swings (32/16kg) 33reps •Wall-touch situps 31rep ( real had, head was pounding) •Wall-Ball (9/6kg) 25reps reps were 65 36 26 70 11 30 33 31 25 Hard workout by yourself watching a stop watch but good. I never done one like this befor, really challenging. |

snatch 75lbs x1 95lbs x1 115lbs f x1 125lbs f x1 135lbs x1 140lbs x1 145lbs x1 felt great. Solid reps fast in the middle. I had no more time to go higher or I'd still be out there. Great set. Good way to finish the day. Oh note: taped left wrist to be sure not to stress it. |

Workout 21, 15, 9
2pood KB swings and ring dips not timed. My phone does not have a timer so not timed. I pushed like it was timed but...well no time. Dips terreble broke in to 5s from the start KB swing unbroken. I took yesterday off due to the migraine, it seems to be passing today. No med and little pain. Looking forward to tomorrow. Glad to fit the KB in today. I was going to do MUs but it has been raining from yesterday so no rings outside. |
