Shoulder issue (with pic!)

So, looking at the above collage you can see my shoulders are doing funky things while I snatch. This was taken last year, I've since stopped because the pain became too great and at one point I couldn't lift my arms up. I still have minor pain when my arm is directly overhead. I feel I have good flexibility, especially in my squat, but these shoulders are giving me trouble. What do you guys think the issue(s) is/are?

Definitely some imbalances there. Looks like your missing some external rotation on that left side for sure. I'd go after the whole front side, pec minor specifically. Jam a lax ball it in it and make yourself cry then stretch it out. Look up some stuff for external rotation on Mwod, he can explain it much more eloquently than I can.

Also, looks like maybe some stuff down stream in the legs, too. It looks like that left side is dropping lower than the other. Take a look at your ankles, I'd be curious to know if that left ankle is collapsing, causing a bunch of problems upstream.

I do have an imbalance in external hip rotation on one side, but I wouldn't judge my squat from the photos as I was snatching on uneven pavement. I'll look into the ext should rotation, cheers!

Hard to tell but in the first pic looks like your left shoulder is forward + out of position. Smashing/stretching the pec/anterior shoulder + some PT style scapular (the muscles around your scapula) strength exercises and also being really aware of keeping your shoulders back should help out.

Who medically have you seen? That to me sounds like what you should be doing
