Converting from Zone to Paleo/Zone, need help
Been a member for almost 4 years and this is actually my first post.
Male/36 years/ 170lb/ 5' 8"'

Been doing Zone for years and now trying to convert to Paleo /Zone to give it a try.

Having problems designing 5 block meals without the use of breads, oatmeal, whole wheat pasta etc.

Also, worried about losing my muscular body composition without the above.
(I was a hard gainer and it took me a long time & lots of hard work to pack that muscle on my frame).

The amount of vegetables needed to replace those carbs does not seem
doable. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Also, any breakfast suggestions aside of eggs would be greatly appreciated.

I think many Paleo people naturally start slipping out of the Zone for that reason. Instead of trying to meet the carb requirement, they use more fat blocks. It's a lot easier to carry around walnuts than eight cups of spinach! You can also try using more fruits--most are of a higher glycemic index than many vegetables, but you say you're a hard gainer so you probably don't have to worry too much about stimulating fat gain anyway.

Yams, sweet potatoes, more fruit. I wrote apiece for the performance menu "42 ways to skin the zone". good how-to's in there.
