Good to hear from you Nik and getting back posting shows you are on your way back. I know its hard for you to post anything but positives so respect for that and hope Kathy and Martin are doing well. Look forward to seeing how you do with the Mike's gym workout.
Scott...Thanks, really. It was even harder to see what you replyed( befor I saw it) Shame full bisness, but part of lift. Funny you would say what you did about mind set on your log. So I am going to focus and doo all I can, but I have GOT to get past these injurys, expecially the elbow, it has been bothering me for over a month solid. |
Re: Nik
Hey Nik, nothing embarrasing about your situation there!
A couple of months ago, I was in the same boat, my kids were always sick, my wife and I were getting sick a lot, we were stressed about money, work schedules and our nanny had just quit......there's not one of us who follow your log here who dont have a certain amount of stress and we all can understand your situation (from a general point of view - not the specifics...). Bottom line: nobody will think of you as a wimp for missing out on training for a few days, you can be assured of that! I hope you keep posting, I found that when I was in my rough patch, it felt a little theraputic to post about things (mostly why I wasnt training regularly) because I knew there were good people looking in, and it was easier than talking about it. Things will start to look up again Nik, and the plates, kettlebells and pull-up bars will be waiting for you! Be well my friend! |

I just need to get past these injurys and hit the workouts well again, I have been milking them for the injurys and it is not working. So i will work arround them as best i can till my stuped arm stops hurting. |

Thanks, still got some pains, but my back held fine. it is'nt sore now so seems ok, it is a little tight but it always is in the morning.
Agreed great job on getting that 300lb + set done with all the niggles Nik. I told you not everyone rides horses in Texas last night Whale ;)
Yea, it was good. Thw 285 was really do aboe for 2 reps, but once over 300 it gets hard on form for reps. I did'nt want to push reps up there yet, just hit it once. Oh and this is a pic of me some 10 years ago well befor Crossfit, but I though you needed to see it. ;) (WFS) http://a3.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-ash4/197408_10150103907987334_641202333_6658286_1508522_n.jpg |
