Re: Nik
I never thought of getting more air over head, but you are right. We will see, if i break it in to two sets I will be happy, but pushing for unbroken of course.
I may do the pullups on the rings, Brady and I will be using the same set up as always. It makes it challenging to get it all set up, but we are blessed with what we have. I feel for you guys who have to leg it from one end of the gym to the other then fight to get back on your equipment.
Everyone seems to have learnt how I train and keep an eye out for me running back, theres just some combinations that are impossible.. Todays will be fine, I have a nice wall for the HSPU's next door to the pull up bar and I will just have to change the weights on the bar after I have finished the Sumo's, give me a small breather as well. |

If we have to take the time to change weight then so be it. It is all part of the workout anyway. |
Re: Nik
"Twins"
Two rounds, of each couplet, for time of: 750 meter Row 20 Handstand Push-ups 115 pound Thruster, 20 reps 20 L-Pull-ups time 26:06 yea and I thought I was going to get the thrusters all in one go. Oh HSPU's were widr grip, not shoulder, and Brady had to spot me through the last 5 of the last set. |
Re: Nik
You did great. That was brutal, Boss.

Re: Nik
Fantastic work Nik, that was a shoulder killer, what can they give us tomorrow after that, the first set of thrusters after the HSPU's was ridiculous, I only got 8 in a row before having to put the bar down!!!!! Well done on the time you beat me.

Ha!! No way Scott. I got the first 5 reps on the thrusters, the first one was a killer! The second round of thrusters were easier at first. Oh and My HSPU's were wide and I went to the ab matt, THEN I had to have Brady spot me on my last 5 reps. He beat both of up with his 23min time. |
Re: Nik
Nice hard work Nik. I agree that the second set of thrusters was easier than the first (at first).

Exactly, I got the first 5 in a row, then broke in to sets of 3 and 2, some were single here and there. |

Amazing job Nik! :kicking0: That WOD is a smoker man! Very impressive. I will be lucky to keep this WOD under 30 mins.

just don't rest to much on the thrusters, you will want to, you really have to fight your brain on that part. |
