4 rounds for time: 400M run 50 squats 11:58. Was shooting to beat Jim's time of 11:56. Probably would've done it had I not gone a bit too far on the first round. Owell. I'll get him next time!![/QUOTE] Did this one again today at home... 11:53 - PR Pretty beat up after this cycle. The front squat WOD from the other day beat me up pretty good...also had a (baseball) double-header today. |

Ten rounds for time of: 3 Weighted Pull-ups, 45 pounds 5 Strict Pull-ups 7 Kipping Pull-up For weighted pull-ups place a 45 pound dumbbell between the legs above crossed ankles and jettison the dumbbell after third rep and continue with strict pull-ups and then the kipping pull-ups. Coming off the bar or going to ground constitutes termination of a set. Post time and number of sets to completion. Took a little different approach on this one today. Rather than scale the weight and reps to finish 10 rounds in under 30 minutes I wanted to do the full 15 pull-ups per round. Or at least attempt it and get through as many rounds as possible with no real time limit. I started with a 20# dumbell. Did the first 4 rounds and on the 5th round I failed on the 3rd deadhang pull-up. Then I switched to a 10# dumbell. 6th round was okay but failed on the 3rd deadhang of the 7th round. After that I switched to doing 8 deadhang or 'strict' pull-ups and 7 kipping. Made it through the 8th and 9th rounds (barely) and failed on the 3rd pullup of the last round. |
