I've read most of the posts concerning this injury here, but have one more question. It really is only an issue during pronated pull-ups (good thing we don't do many of those), but I am able to do them without pain supinated, has anyone else experienced this? If you continued only doing them supinated, any lingering effects on the biceps tendonitis problem? I tend to go with the "it doesn't hurt, so it's okay" school of thought on this. Any input is appreciated

also try neutral ie thumbs pointing towards you especially on rings seems to be most natural.

tendinitis sucks, good luck

The biceps also perform supination, and so might be causing excessive overload when in that hand position. So, a different hand position may help as Kevin suggests. Also, the biceps compensate for the rotator cuff when it is unable to keep up with demands. There may be double overload happening here. Also, adhesions of the tendon can reduce tendon mobility and complicate the situation.

The question to answer is: What isn't working right that is causing the biceps to over work or that is irritating the tendon (eg. scapular positioning)?
