today, my advanced pe class did the following: 10 wall balls, 10 ball slams, 10 kb snatches each arm...ran 400 mtrs, climbed a 10 ft wall....repeat 3 rounds for time.....then....all did tabatta ball slams!!!! they told me: BRING IT ON COACH!!!!! of course they were hurting puppies.....BUT...expect them to greatness and they will produce!!!! they will find a way...they will be motivated....they do not want to obese....THEY JUST DO NOT KNOW IT!!!! ....crossfit rules in h.s. pe fact crossfit rules in life fitness!!!!

That is SO COOL. Way better than what we did in my PE classes. What's interesting to me is that we didn't have an option of "advanced PE". I think everyone wants to be challenged, eveyone wants to push their limits, and "even if they don't know it" they want to leave their PE class as hurting puppies!

My P.E. classes weren't like that either Joshua. Except elementary school. We had rope climbing, tumbling and lots of body weight work back then.

Things really changed after that. Wonder why?

Del Campo HS PE 2 today did Barbara. Using Polar A-1 HRM's as a measure of intensity, 30 of 42 students averaged over 165 bpm. Average time for Barbara was 12:35. We will do all of the Girls (of Crossfit) by the end of the school year !!

I wish PE was like this when I was in school. My freshman/sophomore year we had to do square dancing in PE for like a month. And my senior year was split into 2, 4 class semester's and they wouldn't let me take PE the second semester because I took it the first semester. It's Mcdonalds fault the country is getting morbidly obese at an ever increasing rate.:wink:

DC PE 2 at it again. Angie was our latest prom date. Guys & girls worked themselves into sweaty messes. Best time was 22:15 with all unassisted pull-ups and excellent depth on pushups and squats. Three ladies down, twelve to go.

good stuff at rbvhs. today during per 2 pe class i had the kids do: db thrusters with 35 lb db or 75 lb barbell, chin ups or pull ups, med ball slams. ladies can use 20 lb db or 43 lb barbell. med ball slams are used with the 20 lb d-ball for me and 16 lb for ladies. the rep scheme was: 10, 9, 8, 7, .....1. best time was 19 min....i tried this first on cody-17, my son...he used 55 lb db's and his time was 17:14. lots of sweatin kids during pe today....yeah crossfit!!!
