Hey all,

I've been doing CrossFit for a few weeks now and I haven't really been able to incorporate Wall Ball. My gym has medicine balls, and I could easily make or buy problem is, I don't think the gym staff or the other personages at my place of residence would be okay with me throwing a 20 lb ball at the wall, inside or outside of the house. Any suggestions on how I can do this without actually throwing at something? Also, how high is the standard wall ball target, for future reference?

There are a few workouts that incorporate wall ball that I would really like to do.

Jacob: Standard target height is 10 feet (basically, the same as a basketball rim). Can you just go to the basketball court and "shoot" at the backboard next to the hoop?

Alternatively, shoot them straight up (no target) outside . . . harder to get the height exactly right, but the catch is more challenging, so that sort of makes up for it.

Is there a tree nearby that would be tall enough?
