Yea, I have wondered from when I finished it to now if i shouldn't have scaled it and gotten more rounds, but I had to try. Hope they dissappear now ;)[/QUOTE] Yea, the one legged squats are reall annoying. I can do them, but my form is terreble and wobbely, but I can get them done. I really wanted at least two round, but after the KB work my back wasa tired going into the deads. I pulled it fine as far as form. But my hams and glutes and back were tored from the day befor, and it showed. I almost forgot that tomorrow was a rest day and told myself if they post another games workout I wasn't doing it. ( of coures I woud have any way) I tell you , the people who did all the workouts in the games are really so much stronger then me and must have super natural recovery abelity. I'm wrecked form my megar attempts at them! I have no Idea what I'll be cleaning today, but it will be for if I can warm up past yesterdays DOM's I may try to do the ring HSPU's with a foot assist or something. I don't know I will have to see how it all goes. That is what I get for doing SP yesterday!:) |
Re: Nik
Right Nik , I might be able to help out with the Ring HSPU's, I done some experimenting with them and have a few tips.
Firstly kick up with wide legs and catch your feet on the straps, do not kick straight through the middle of the rings or you will crash down. Secondly you can use your feet to first push your body up then climb the straps with your feet, they allowed this in the games so I am sure you are allowed. |

If I can do one I can do 4. |
Re: Nik
Seven rounds for time of:
175 pound Clean, 3 reps 4 handstand push-ups time 12:01 Cleans killed me. They were slower then I wanted, but HSPU's were good. all unbroken. My bar malfunctioned and came apart on one side. The ring that keep the weights from sliding in twards your hands came unscrewed in the middle of the workout and it took me a bit to get it together and every set I'd have to tighten it back on. I still took longer then I wanted to set up and go though. But it got faster as I went on, I ket telling myself ''second pull, be fast under the bar'' worked well. Collar bone sore from rubbing. Oh missed two cleans. |
Re: Nik
3:00 break
