The runs weren't the problem surprisingly. My back started to tighten during the 2nd run and I knew those kb's would be murder.

For time:
Run 1200 meters
63 Kettlebell swings, 1.5 pood
36 Pull-ups
Run 800 meters
42 Kettlebell swings, 1.5 pood
24 Pull-ups
Run 400 meters
21 Kettlebell swings, 1.5 pood
12 Pull-ups

time 26, something.

I didn't sprint the runs at all, I jogged at and even pace watching out for the calf which made it through with out cramping!

KB's I got 32 befor breaking then finishes up. pullups broken from the begining, grip and fore arms spent and Brady and I took turns on the pullup bar till last round.

KB I taped a 35 and 10 lbs plate to our KB to make 1.5 pood and it slipped each round and was hitting my hands, so I had to fix it on 1st and secomd round, i just endured the pain ogf the weights hitting my hands to finisnh the last round unbroken.

It was HOT, the heat takes so much. Good workout, it was a killer. Hats off the the Games people who did this.
Pushing through the calf pain I see Nik, good to see it, you and Ernie were very close on this one today. 32 unbroken swings in that nasty WOD :highfive:

Thanks Scott, it was a rough one, good to get a tast of what they went through at the games, tells me I need to get stronger for sure. But that has always been a problem for me.

Also, I wasn't going to push my calf. I can run, just not hard, I ran kind of flat footed and it helped keep from putting to much pressure on my calf. It is injured, as much as I want to go all out expecially after the games and your win. I know what I need to do to get better.

I can push everywhere else, but running will be easy for now.

That and yesterday I had to take time fixing my rig up for the KB swings, it all came unraveled on me. But that is what it takes to get the workout done.

Have you ever considered trying creatine monohydrate. I started taking it about 3 weeks ago and feel stronger already. Apparently it gives you more stamina by letting the muscles go for longer over short fast bursts which is exactly what we do. Im definately gonna keep it up as I shocked myself over the weekend with how well everything felt.

Keep rolling that calf muscle Nik, right to the bottom and then the back of knee as sometimes pain roots from there.

I was reading about the Creatine, I wasnt sure about it. How are you taking it? Do you take it just befor you lift. I heard it was for maxes. For max lifts so I havent really looked into it.

Yea, I'll keep working my calf till its better.

man todays workout looks rough. That is some heavy lifting and fast for 7 min. No time to be messing about. The deads will be the killer for me. I have 3 reppes 315 only a couple of times ever so today will be a fun challenge.

Complete as many rounds as possible in seven minutes of:
315 pound Deadlift, 7 reps
20 meter Sprint
14 One legged squats
21 Double-unders
20 meter Sprint

1 round 1 deadlift.

all deadlift. No touch and go, I got the firs two reps ok, couldn't budge the bar after that. Two trys an I started to pull weight, I had the clip off the bar and hand on the plate and stopped. I had to try again. So I got one more, I think I got to 6 reps and missed, just couldn't bude the bar, got the last one and legged it got the pistols easy enough, I went to 10inches from the ground( to a box) alternating feet an straight through.

DU's broke because I was trying to go to fast.

I ran back down to the bar and prayed to God for one more rep(all I had time for) Barely squeezed it off the ground and slowly slid it up. Once I get the bar off the ground it is mine, just getting it there.

Ther after a few min break.

Shoulder press 5,3,1
95lbs, 115lbs, 130lbs(up 5lbs from last time)

I have used almost all their products.... and I'm a rep for them. :D Right now I'm on the multi-vitamin, greens and fish oil, and blue gene. I'll use the creatine from time to time. I was on it for a couple of years and wanted a break.
