Re: Nik
Hey Nik, be very interested to hear how your doing, really hope that back is feeling better mate. I know how frustrating and how angry these injuries can make us.

Re: Nik
Thanks everyone for the support, it means everything to me.
Well I am still sore, not nearly as bad as I was, but to sore to even try to workout. I'm at work, pill free at this point. Dull ache at this point. Like I said, it is not my lower back, it is in the middle on the left side just under my shoulder blade. I may go back and strech a bit and see if I can get it loos. I was in bet for the last two days trying to rest it. It is getting better, but not well enough ti workout. of course now that I'm out for a bit we get some cool workouts. I want to do the power cleans and the MU to see how I'm improving, but life happens(gets in the way). |
Re: Nik
Oh nooooooo! Hope you heal up quickly!
Hey-listen to Greg and that Philly gang- they know their backs! |
Re: Nik
That sounds really positive Nik, its healing and its not on the lower back, you will be back training quicker than you think and these WODs will still be here waiting for you.
Light stretching will definately help, just go about it sensibly and if anything causes discomfort stop and try something else. Another thing I would consider is hanging from your pull up bar, just hang there do not pull! Might just be something that needs loosening up or pulling back into place. Remember these are just my little tricks I have tried on myself to get through injuries and not professional advice. Good to hear from you Nik, your missed on the board :highfive: |
Re: Nik
Glad to hear are doing better nik! Don't hurry back there isn't anything more annoying than a nagging injury. Trust me I know when it happened to me with my groin. Just make sure it's completely healed before u make ur return. Take it easy.

Re: Nik
30 muscleups for time
we didn't really go hard on it. I was just taking it easy to get through it. By the end my back barely hurt at all. I guess the blood moving arroud made it feel better. Brady and I were taking turnes on the rings. I had to stop and unload a truck in the middle, Time was 40min even/ I got 3 in a rowe. I still can't lock out from the bull to the end. tore blisters on my wrist pretty bad. I was glad to do anything. |
Re: Nik
Glad you got out there. I didn't want to have to punch you in the back to fix it.
|
Re: Nik
Best wishes and prayers for a fast recovery brother. Plenty of rest.

I love going out to our high school track during the summer when the ft ball team leaves the tires out. A great workout is doing 50 flips for time. It's a real butt kicker. Or combine bleacher runs and tire flips. Ouch. |

Thruster 1-1-1-1-1-1-1 reps
1. 135lbs 2. 145lbs 3. 155lbs 4. 165lbs 5. 175lbs 6. 185lbs 7. 190lbs Failed last time I maxed at 175lbs, time befor 165lbs ran a mile after for no time. Funny thing is Brady and I were going to go on a ''light'' jog, it started out that way, but at the turnarround it got faster till we were sprinting it in. Great fun. |

Yea, I was a little timid of the thrusters, that is why I started so low. I wanted to test my back befor I went heavy. It didn't bother my back at all. When I hit the 225 mark i will go one legged like you!! |

Its hard to find time when I have the main site, the challenge and my class every week. Feel good to go right now also, although after Fridays class and saturday challenge thats when I feel beat up. |
