Re: Nik
Fantastic work Nik and that rig is a nasty contraption, that was one of the worst and hardest workouts I have done, the last round was just getting through it.
|
Re: Nik
Thanks Scott, it was one of the toughest I have done too. Eh the ''rig '' works. One day I will get 1.5 pood and then a 2 pood. But for now this works.
|
Re: Nik
Nice Rig Nik........ Awesome work on Eva also!
Just a thought: you could use hose clamps and some rubber piping to keep the weight in place if you're worried about the collars slipping? |
Re: Nik
Man- you've got some great innovation going on over there....
I love it-the rig. |

It would be embarising if i let it, but it is funny and it does the job, check your pride right? |

Re: Nik
"Randy"
75 pound Power snatch, 75 reps for time. CFWU x2 with 40 lbs on sits and back ext. Time was 11:04, fun workout, allthough, my legs were still sore from the 10k and my class workout. Not so bad to really kill me, but I was feeling them big time. Hook grip was good. I got 30 in a row befor I rested, each rep was reset and pulled properly, no touch and go. |
Re: Nik
Well done NIk, I thought you had curled up and died after the 10k run. How come you never hit any touch and go reps, everyone of mine was that way. Oh yes and my calves are still making walking hard from the run and Eva.

No,I was just busy yesterday, I didn't get a chance to get on line. Long story. I was afraid of bad back form, so I was real deliberate with it, plus after my classes I am trying to cement the form to correct bad form. I thought I did good with it till I saw what you and Ernie did, I will most be pushing harded next time. |

Re: Nik
21-18-15-12-9-6-3 rep rounds of:
185 pound Front squat GHD Sit-up CFWUx2 with 40lbs Time was 24:52, I had to scale, I got the first 4 rounds with 185, first 3 reps of the 9 reps, scale 10 lbs, couldnt keep the bar up, or get deep enough, got mad, jerked the weight down to 135lbs and finished the last 3 reps of the 9rep, and used 135 for 6,and 3. I am the first to tell someone to scale, I got to eat some humble pie and do it my self. No excuses. |
Re: Nik
Thats fantastic Nik, when I read on my log you scaled I thought you meant the whole thing , the fact at your weight of 165lb that you managed 72 reps with 185lb is massively impressive, great work I am giving you a dancing veg for pure tenacity. :pepper:

Thanks Nick, I found in my log that in the 3rep max ( I think it was 7 rounds, maybe 5 rounds) that on my second or third round I did 185, so it wasnt really close to my max. I thought I could chip away at the reps in the WOD, but it got me I lost form and depth. But it was good. I just got mad because I got so far through it, I thought I had it. But better to scale and not get an injury. |
