Really? That's kind of funny because......

I just got a new squat rack but it's hard to balance my dumbells in those J hook things at the top. Is there a special attachment I can buy for dumbells ?
Yes actually. There is.

I just gained 90# on my back squat. I switched from using a foam roller on the bar for my shoulders, to one of these.

Stoked!!

It makes it a little harder bouncing the bar up off my shoulders at the top of every rep I do ... you know, to look cool and impress the ladies ... but I think having that extra plate on the barbell makes up for it. I can see them looking over from their treadmills and smiling.

No lie if using that thing added 90# to my squat instantly I would use it no questions asked.

I know right. I came across it today when it was still attached to the barbell on the rack. Didn't know what the heck it was. Usually it's a foam thing I have to chuck away ... but this had me baffled. I literally googled "plastic back squat thing" to find it. First couple of hits.
It looks uncomfortable.

We have one at our affiliate, and only the hard core people use it. It elevates the bar a few inches off your back, and the bar teeters on that fulcrum. Like I said, only the hard core use it.

it will take weight off your squat. and if you have any traps at all it will hurt worse than having the bar on your back. a buddy of mine did find it handy when he had a broke arm, he could still squat pretty decent weight using it and helped keep the bar balanced.

Looking for advice on a post workout meal. Right now I usually cook a sweet potato wrapped in 6 pieces of bacon. I eat it exactly 7 minutes post wod. It works but I thought about taking out the potato. What do you think?
