Jump Ropes - Please take a look and which should I pick?

Hi!

I know there was a recent thread on jump ropes, and while I did find that one helpful, I have more specific questions.

1) For those of you who are speed rope experts, which of these would you pick? (Link is wfs.)

2) Also, I am 5'4" - What size should I get?

Many thanks!

Lisa

OK, I think I just figured out that I should get about an 8 foot rope for my height. (See, give me enough time and I'll answer my own questions!) :)

Took you all of 38 minutes! :O

Why not get a longer rope and just adjust the length to what you think is comfortable? Or you could just go to a store and try a couple out (what I did). That way you'll end up with one that feels right for you.

Thanks for your thoughts on this one, Julius. Looks like I might just have to go out and buy a few to see which one I like best. :) Was hoping a few folks might have one particular favorite out there. I am thinking about just going with Buddy Lee's top rope. Perhaps they offer a free trial period and I could test it out a bit.

I've used quite a few different jump ropes at my gym. I prefer Buddy Lee's Aero Speed Jump Rope. I like the feel of the handles and they way it swings in my hands. It's a pretty quick rope. Of course, I didn't have to buy it.

To be honest, I think everyone has a different opinion about jump ropes, and any one can develop skill with any rope. I've been using a $5 beaded rope lately. At first it was pretty tough, relative to the Buddy Lee, but now I can do doubleunders without a problem.
