With a scaled division does it need to be relatively easy?
I wouldn't expect the addition of the scaled division to have any effect on the RX'ed WOD's. The open will most likely be as it has been in the last few years. |

Same. I think the scaled just lets them substitute double unders for single unders, CTB for regular pullups, etc. And if there is a ladder I'd assume the weight would start slightly lower and not increase as quickly. |

15 min AMRAP
4 Muscle ups 8 DL with 275# 12 bar facing burpees Froning 11 rounds even Down goes Fraser 10 rounds |
Re: 2015 CrossFit Open, Regionals, and Games Thread
15.1. & 15.1a scored separately:
Amrap 9 minutes: 15 Toes to bar 10 deadlifts (115lbs / 75lbs) 5 snatches (115 / 75) After 9 minutes: 6 minutes for 1-rep max clean & jerk |
Re: 2015 CrossFit Open, Regionals, and Games Thread
Best strategy...
Warm up your Clean and Jerk to about 95% of your 1rm before starting the WOD. then warm up your snatch and TTB. Also, I am expecting more A/B workouts. Perhaps a max snatch, or two AMRAPs. Look at the Wodaplooza, Granite Games, and OC Throwdown qualifer WODS for more ideas. |

Forget the workout, was Rich wearing clear braces?

Yep. I'm surprised I missed it the first time. |

I'm pretty sure if I warmed up to 95% of my 1rm, I sure as **** wouldn't want to do much else. Depends on how much you CJ. Let's say you're a Regional/Games level competitor. Which means anywhere from #300 (maybe #250-275 in weaker regions)-350ish. Even with the recovery capability they have I'm not sure that's such a swift idea. Better to just treat the 6m like a ladder. |

My son is 14, has really good T2B's and last year did 185 on a C&J. I'm hoping he does really well on Saturday.

Well, your opener should be 90% roughly so I guess 95% is pretty close. My buddy took 4 attempts and missed the jerk at 275#. Unknown score during the first part. He's gonna do it again anyways and I think this was more of a trial run. He did not warmup his CJ prior just watched the match, lol. |
