Any opinions on raw milk. I recently discovered that a health food store that I was previously unaware of in my area carries all sorts of good stuff like raw milk and other raw dairy products. I know it's not Paleo, but this stuff is incredibly nutrient dense. Thoughts, comments, and criticism are welcomed.

Greg - I've personally tried raw milk and cheese, both from pasture-fed animals, and neither agreed with me. The milk products still gave me all sorts of GI problems and dramatically increased mucus production.

That's enough to stop me from trying, thanks.

My experience is the exact opposite of Jonathan's. If I drink a glass of pasteurized milk, my stomach is upset within 15 minutes. I stopped drinking it 20 years ago.

Found a source of raw milk recently. Can drink as much as I want, no problems.

Try it yourself, see how it works for you. Don't let one person's horror story disuade you - there are many reasons he may have problems with raw milk such as a food allergy that you don't have.

For what it's worth... my son (3.5 yrs) has the same problems with processed, pasteurized milk as I do, but not with raw.

No problems for me. I think it is great.

Interesting. Due to my curiosity I picked up a half gallon yesterday anyway. I had to try it for myself. So far so good. It's incredibly creamy and rich, I love the flavor. Also, It may just be my imgination but my teeth seem to feel more bulky and dense today. Could be my imagination though. Thanks

I've looked all over for raw milk. I cannot find a source for it. Where do you guys find raw milk?

Go to www.realmilk.org for local sources.

i usually drink an 8 ounce glass before bed....seems to be holding me over the night...

My local co-op carries it, as well as raw cheese and unpasteurized orange juice, too. Great stuff!
