Birthday is coming up and o-lift shoes are on the list.

Adidas - very spiffy and dang well ought to be for the price.
VS Athletics - looks like the favorite child on this board, particularly for the price. The heel looks taller than other shoes?
Do Win & Werksan- give me those ruby red slippers, Dorothy. Or get off my blue suede shoes, Elvis. Uh huh, bahby.
Gold Cup - simple, look comfortable, but not much about them on the boards.
Barefoot - sure, I actually grew up in Ky. No problem.

I'm leaning toward the Gold Cup shoes. Any happy Gold Cup owners out there?

Thanks.

I love my blue suede Do Wins!

Matt;
Been putting them off, but since I'm just finishing my O platform in my garage, just ordered the last pair of 10.5's from VS Athletics.
Thanks buddy.

Jay

I have a pair of Gold Cup, they are trash. I have a pair of the Do-Wins that are the same as the VS Athletics and they are much better quality, IMO. I would order from VS.

Jeff,
I'm not sure I understand. Are you saying that the Do-Wins are better than the VS Athletics or not? }

I've got the red suede Do-Wins and am very happy with them. I have wide feet and my research indicates that Do-Win makes the widest weightlifting shoe. Also, I have poor ankle flexibility and the Do-Wins have a slightly higher heel than most which helps tremendously in squats and deadlifts.

I've got VSs, and I can't complain. They're comfortable and supportive, and run true to size.

The heels are high, and they're not exactly even. We've seen this repeatedly, as they've shipped about 10 pairs to us between Crossfit Boston and Crossfit Topsfield.

I don't notice any impact on my lifts, but then again, I'm not a very good lifter.

I do suspect the high heel may have aggravated my girlfriend's knee pain, but this is specific to her.

All in all, they're a no-brainer at $60/pair. Teh quality is great for the money. Buy them.

Best,

Jon

From the collection here, sounds like Gold Cup is a no go, DoWin and VS are on par with VS preferred, but VS heels are not exactly even and high.....Hmmmmm. I only plan to buy one pair, and I want them dang near perfect.

I don't want to spend money if it doesn't get me more quality, but it is, after all, my birthday. 50th at that. My girl says I'm worth about $120 bucks, no problem. I've yet to read one post that says "Oh, those Adidas just aren't worth it."

Lincoln to the red paging phone......are the Adidas twice the shoe VS offers?

Several of us bought the Power Firm shoes from the custom shop in Canada. Awesome quality and customer service. What I like about the Power Firm shoes is, the strap that goes across the top of the foot is a buckle instead of velcro, so it won't loosen up on you. Great shoe

Link is family/work safe....just a couple of pairs of shoes.

We have a new contender in the form of Power Firm shoes....http://www.weightliftingshoes.ca/.

No guessing on the size, I am to trace my feet in sitting to be used for custom fit. Price is a bit steep, but not as much as the Adidas. The "micro-adjustable" strap/buckle is a big selling point as well. :g:

Dear diary: Today I think I fell in love........
