2-on-1 MMA fight?

This was something we talked about at work yesterday.

Would UFC or any similar organization do a 2-on-1 fight as an exhibition match? Maybe have some rules to level the playing field, like having the two guys in a lightweight category or smaller versus someone in the light-heavyweight category or bigger.

Would be interesting to see how the single competitor would handle themselves in an enclosed area against two opponents.

We agreed that it would be something interesting to watch, I know I'd pay to see that.

I would guess that the 1 person would have to knock out at least one, because you can't get a submission on 1 while another is lurking about. It would be interesting, but I doubt it would happen.

I'd figure you'd have to KO one guy or fatigue him to the point where he doesn't have enough gas to help his buddy get out of a submission hold, kind of like a weak person trying to pull someone off of someone else during a street fight (or if you've watched the show COPS and see 4-6 officers having to take down one crazy adrenaline-charged meth addict on a rampage because the first 1-2 cops were tossed off like feathers.)

I'd doubt anyone would put that on. But if they did, it would make a ton of $$$$$ for sure on the interest alone! :D

All I have to say about this:

The video itself looks like it was filmed in a warehouse on somebody's lunchtime break.

Matt wins round 1:)

I guess we have a difference of opinion on what is, or is not, W/FS though ... so be warned!

Close to what I was thinking, but with better fighters and not in the setup of "every man for themselves". I've seen bar room fights that were more organized.

Haha, if there's profanity, I usually say not WFS, just to be safe.

So, are you saying 2 on 1 fights? Two flyweights vs a heavy weight? Two lightweights vs a superheavy weight? Hong Man Choi versus 4 midgets?
