Your just showing off:super: great work!
Thanks, I didn't beat Scott or the rest who were challenging each other , but the extra weight felt good. I'm not showing off with a two and a half hour work out!!! Impressive work!! Do you even feel it?

Your times aren't comparable as you used the extra weight Which made it a tougher workout, saying that though Scott did kill this one!

Of course I feel it, some people are very strong and some people are very fast, I'm neither but I do seem to recover quickly either that or I don't push myself enough... I know Which one my lazy *** agrees on:D

Nice run/back extension time! My legs are lead like, all those 400s would be the death of me.

Re: Nik

"Helen"

Three rounds for time:
Run 400 meters
1 1/2 pood Kettlebell X 21 swings (or 55 pound dumbbell swing)
12 Pull-ups

time was 13:44

first run was interupted by a police man wanting to know why I was running from a empty warehouse. I had to explane that I was on my workout, and we have a home gym here!!

Allthough I didn't do to well anyway, I hadn't eaten today and I took a fish oil cap just befor my workout. It made me dizzy and everything got real bright. I had to walk a bit on the third round to clear my head. That never happens, I may slow down during a workout, but never stop.

I'm good now, and I got through the KB swings at 55lbs. I was worried about that.

fun day!!

That's brilliant!

If only you were carrying a bag with a weight while being spotting sprinting from an abandoned warehouse..

Or of course you could have told the cop you were running away from the kettle bell. ;)

That was a strange reaction you had to the fish oil.

My back felt good. My knees went in on the 315, that is where my form fails first on deads and back squats. Once the knees go I stop because next in line to go is my back. Good set though. It was the first time on deads after my back problems.

Re: Nik

Great work Nik, I went up to 308lb and was happy to get no pain with that and hit the last set with 220lb x 15 touch and go to get a feeling of having worked out.

Barbara today, thats one of my favourites, it has the most potential for making me sick with a huge pumping vein headache!!

Nick Harris 03-03-2009 07:18 AM

Re: Nik

Great job on the DL's Nik! I haven't got over 300 lbs yet, lower back just doesn't have the strength. Hopefully this year will be the year.

Great to see you're staying healthy and strong brother.
Hey Nick!! How's it going? How's the knee coming?
Going well Nik, sorry I have been off so long. With business travel and not working out much this last week I have been a bad CrossFit guy! This week I will get caught back up.

Knee is doing really good. This week and next week and I will be done officially with rehab. She said she will have me running in a couple of weeks. Can't wait to see how that goes.

Hope you're having a blessed day my friend!

"Barbara"

Five rounds, each for time of:
20 Pull-ups
30 Push-ups
40 Sit-ups
50 Squats

1. 3:05
2. 3:28
3. 4:24
4. 6:10
5. 5:37

pullups in round 1,2,3 unbroken.

I don't care, I have a head ache, I want to throw up. That was really really tough!!!! Really rough!! I'm sick!!!

Scott Jenkins 03-03-2009 01:04 PM

Re: Nik

Thats just crazy Nik, you getting the headache and sick feeling also, that Barbara has a way of hurting the system different from any other WOD. Well done for getting through it also as many give up before round 4 or 5. Surprising how much the sit ups hurt as you have to hold your breath to keep the lower back tight and you just need oxygen like mad.

You are still the C2B pull up king. :highfive:

Nick Harris 03-03-2009 01:14 PM

Re: Nik

Heck of a job brother! Way to push through it to the end. I'll be knocking this out in a few days, yikes!

Man that was a killer!! The situps were dreadfull!! I was dizzy from them!!

I couldnt figure it out, I was telling myself I can do 40 situps with 40lbs, I was struggeling for them!!
I though I was going to throw up on round 4.

Those 3min's were rough, to much time to think!! I had to keep myself positive during the breaks. I wouldn't even sit.

Very nice, funny how us CrossFitters see a "break." I am the same way, always trying to find ways and times to do something extra and beyond! Always pushing ourselves! Way to go man.

Lunck time buzz.

Well i didn't plan on doing anything, but I stopped on Jenna Rettenmayer's log and saw hwhat a great job she did snaching (110lbs I believe)

and went back to try my hand. I havn't done them but maybe once. I like the squat cleans and the jerks, but havent snached much.

I did 10 reps of 85lbs just to try it out. Man what a skill it is. I sucked at it bad, I was all over the place, dropping the bar, not getting low. I was also in jeans:rofl:

But I like it. Thanks Jenna!!

I see what you mean, I haven't done burt 1 or 2 befor today, so it is all new to me. I see what you mean about shoving your self unse it, kind of like a squat clean. Looks like I have more fun to try!!

Check out Jenna's vid of her doing 120 was it? Awesome form!!
