Ok so I need some advice,

Tomorrow's workout calls for 2 50lbs DB's I only have 40lbs, so I can go with those or weight up a bar.

I see tomorrow as being a speed workout, but 40lbs is a little light. But with a barbell it changes the dynamic of the workout with less midline stabilization.
Good morning Nik. I say go with the 40lb DB's, its not that much difference and a barbel would definately change the dynamic of the workout a lot more than slightly light DB's.

Just remember while your hitting the amrap you have to push that bit faster to make up for the 10lb :stir: why you say, because stirry man said so!!

Yea, I Have two strikes agains me, I'm going on 4 hours sleep right now and I have Martin with me. But I am with you Scott, It is a speed workout not a heavy one so I decided the same thing. I will do everything I can to stand up to the stirry man!
Thanks Scott

I agree with Scott. Use the DB's. You'll get in more rounds, do more work, feel more pain. It should balance itself out:)

Complete as many rounds in 15 minutes as you can of:
50 pound dumbbell Push jerk, 5 reps
7 Box jumps, 30 inch box

I used 40lbs DB's
boxjumps to 30 inches(pallet on forklift forks

15round.

Scott my hats off to you. That was tough. I cycled as fast as I could, all jerks unbroken Box jumps were slow, but I though I was better then this. I was moving as fast as I could with no real breaks on the jumps. I'd jump drop off reset and jump. There was no rebound from the bottom, it killed my round.

My quads are on fire and the bottom of my feet got real sore from it.

Now that I complaned, it was a fun one, I'm just slow.

Good job on keeping it at 1 round per minute Nik! I'm sure you would get more rounds once you learn the pogo stick technique on the box jumps.

I'm waiting for my best friend to come over so we can go get the materials to finally build a box!!! I'll probably be doing this wod in the evening once th glue has dried on it!

Ok so I just got in to check the workout and there is no way I can do it or even brad X it. Brand X said if you don't have a bike to run a 10K. It is not happening with Martin with me. I wouldn't mind a 10K, I just can't go for a run with Martin with me.

I'll see what I feel like in the morning. Maybe some oly work, who knows. I can mimick that kind of long endurance with my son with me.

Great work Nik, people forgot that 30" box is probably up past your chest, your like a crazy jumping flea :D

I see the 30k bike ride is also impossible for you, Im trying to get my head around the 10k run now, we have a heatwave here so its going to be hell.

What about subbing rowing or 1000 sumo's :stir::rofl:
