Hello, I normaly post on BrandX forum. I have been dealing with knee pain for two months now. I finally went to the Dr. today. The x-rays show that I have a condition called Patella Alta. That is where the patella (kneecap) rides too high up on the femur (thigh bone). Actually the doctor has never seen a patella so far from where it attaches to the tibia. Itís only suppose to be 1 - 1.5 times the length of the patella. Mine is like 4 times the length of the patella. The doctor said that is just the way I was made.
Iím scheduled for a therapy session next Monday.

Do any of you have this condition or know of any sucsessful treatment options?

Aggressively stretch your quads and hip flexors.

Most of the time this can be attributed to too tight muscles pulling the patella up too high in teh femoral groove.

Stuff here may help as well wfs
