View Full Version : Just getting started after Total Hip

Had my right hip replaced (total hip) in 12-09. Fairly mobile now (with Advil) and would like to get in shape. Prior to developing osteoarthritis in the hip I was pretty active. Have kettlebells at home and gym membership. 6'0, 205 lbs. Other than hip replacement, no other problems. Any suggestions? Any help appreciated.

Eat well and take your fish oil. That's the biggest thing for staving off excessive ifnlammation/edema that may still be present
Work on your mobility and strength pretty much. Don't do anything that hurts, but continually progress with your compound exercises if youc an like squats and DLs
