View Full Version : Shoulder pain every time I OHS

It never fails. I think my technique is good, I know the bar is overhead and I'm pressing my shoulders high in my ears.

The pain is "inside" my shoulder, almost always left one, and it lasts for weeks. It's mild and I don't feel it when doing any other CF exercises. I feel it when I bring my left hand to left armpit and rotate my elbow high around my head.

I don't know what to do. More than anything I want to be able to OHS without experiencing this pain afterwords, so I don't care much about rehab, more prevention... Help?

Inside of the armpit?

Try the sleeper stretch (youtube it) and see how far you get.

I am thinking you are losing internal rotation ROM which really stretches it out during OHS.

You played any ball sports or anything?

not the armpit, more like inside the deltoid.

I'm right handed so the left arm doesn't get used for much outside CF.

What shoulder articulations hurt? wfs

Where is the pain located (google some shoulder pics and mark them)?
