Just got my knee mri'd and was told by the doctor that i was missing cartilage in two areas of my knee, she recommends that i get microfracture surgery to replace the missing cartilage. My question is will i still be able to full squat? Or should i not even do surgery and just go with physical therapy?

Well, microfracture will probably stave off arthritis longer than if not.

If you're having pain with knee bending it would probably be a good idea.

Your choice though. If you need more infos just google microfracture surgery and it will tell you all about it.
