From LSU's weightlifting research center:
http://www.lsus.edu/weightlifting/Pa...Presented5.htm (watch out, it's long) I'm not so sure... Excerpt: The athlete’s diet should contain a relative balance of carbohydrate, fat, and protein. Of the total calories consumed, the recommended balance for most athletes is: * Carbohydrate - 55% to 60% * Fat - no more than 30% (less than 10% saturated) * Protein - 10% to 15% If by 'most athletes' they mean... no, I can't even think of a segment of athletes that 'should' eat 60% carbs and 10% protein. I don't know, am I being too harsh? |

Does LSU win anything at weightlifting? That should answer your question as to if it should work.
That diet looks pretty odd though even if they do. |
