Re: 14.2 strageties/ scores

I know for me it'll be try to do the OHS squats unbroken because C2B pull-ups will take some time. That'll also mean not rushing back to the bar because I'm even worse at OHS when I'm gasping for air. It'll be, finish C2B, try to catch my breath, control my breathing then get back to the bar

Go UB as long as you can. High in the 18's will be a good score. I'll probably have to break on the second half of 14 or into the 16's. I doubt I'll break on the OHS, but I'm saying that sitting in an office chair right now.

Yeah, if you can get close to what Camille got you will be doing well. I think a lot of the more competitive folks will be able to get past 14 into 16. Every 3:00 marker you can make even better. 16 OHS at 95# shouldn't be too bad just hang on and try and get through the reps.

I know I am looking to get to round of 18 if I can.

I saw someone ask somewhere else, did the standards video say anything about jumping C2B?

Re: 14.2 strageties/ scores

Barbell Shrugged posted their 14.2 strategy video already:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OpzY43ixYV0 wfs

They recommended going as slow as possible for the first couple rounds, finishing just before the 3 min time cap. Go unbroken if possible, but take a good amount of time during the transitions, instead of busting through the 10s and 12's and then finishing with more than a minute to rest.

Re: 14.2 strageties/ scores

14.2 states minimum 43kg for men.
Can I use 10kg and 1.25kg plates on a 20kg (equalling 42.5) and then some 0.5kg collars? Or does it have to be 43kg of plates/bar?
If so I'd have to go 45kg with spring collars!
Just asking as a few kg will make a big difference to me on this wod as my overhead squat max is only 55kg

Re: 14.2 strageties/ scores

For me personally, breaking up the C2B's early will be my attempt at avoiding muscle fatigue. The OHS's will gas me, but I feel like I can get through them at a steady pace.

Am I allowed to do OHS with my heels on some 10# bumpers?
